City Life Centre is always dreaming. We’re not about running programs, but connecting with people. As individuals come and add their talents, skills and resources to help us fulfill our purpose, what we’re doing changes. Check back here often to see what’s new at City Life Centre.

Afternoon Adventures

Quality after-school care is one of the greatest challenges for parents who are struggling to make ends meet. City Life Centre has partnered with Bernard Elementary to launch Afternoon Adventures, an after-school program for Bernard families with students in Grades 1-4. Its purpose is to provide a safe, fun and productive environment for families who can’t afford traditional after-school programs for their children. This program includes all kinds of great activities, including art projects, music, drama, dance, sports, games, homework help and lots more.

Project Connect

In 2012, City Life Centre and City Life Church launched Project Connect with an objective to complete 50 unique acts of service that met a practical need for a person, family or group who were in our city but outside our church. Our larger goal was to teach ourselves to see and respond to the needs that were presented to us daily through our friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers. Through kindness, compassion and generosity, we learned to show love to others in our world in a simple and practical way.

Recovery Meetings

Addiction has destroyed countless lives and families in Chilliwack. In addition to the good work that other organizations in the area are doing, City Life Centre has launched a weekly recovery meeting for those searching for help in dealing with addictions of various kinds, including alcohol, drugs, gambling, shopping and eating. We invite you to drop in and check out one of our meetings. Our welcoming and inclusive program incorporates the use of the twelve step program, along with other materials and resources that address some of the root causes of addiction.

Touching Hearts

Too many in our city struggle to make ends meet. The downturn in our economy has cost many people their jobs, vehicles and even homes. Touching Hearts Ministries exists to bring practical support to those in need. Whether it’s providing clothing, groceries, toiletries or gifts for kids during the Christmas season, our goal is to connect with those in need in our city and to give support to all, regardless of their ethnic background, colour, religion or past.
